Who is teaching your kids values and morals? On average Preparatory pupils spend about 60% of their time at school. Then at home they are spending much time in front of the TV (ever tried throwing it out?) or computer (games, facebook, mmmm tried turning this off?) which consistently displays violence, sex, noise, inappropriate humour, and advertising in a media driven world. How much time do you spend relating to your kids? Who is teaching your kids values and morals? The school? The Media? Or you the parent? Our wonderful music teacher Mrs Marisa Van Wyk coined a phrase “Tree Time”! Time for kids to interact with you, the parent. Time for kids to be out and about enjoying life with you, the parent. Time for kids to just be kids, with you the parent. And it is during this “Tree Time” that you will share your values and morals. So, who is teaching your kids values and morals?

Also like “Tree Time”! Can be expanded to metaphor of climbing, being outdoors. Parents need to teach their children to climb the tree of life – it they fall out, they need to learn to climb again, just to stand on a sturdier branch.
Yes, love the comment, Anne!
